Zhanè Rose O'Neill-Harvey
We are overwhelmed with relief and gratitude to share that Zhanè Rose O'Neill-Harvey has been found. She is safe, she is well, and she is currently in the care of New Zealand Police, receiving support from professionals.
We cannot share details of her location at this time, as police are managing her care and privacy. What we can say is: she is alive, she is safe, and she is being looked after.
To everyone who helped bring her home — the communities of Kaitaia, Kawakawa, Ōpua, Hāwera, Eltham, and New Plymouth. The businesses who checked CCTV. Bobby-Jo who never stopped searching. Michelle who endured with strength. NZ Police. The Facebook groups who amplified every post. Everyone who donated, printed posters, and cared.
This was a community effort in the truest sense. From the Far North to Taranaki, people who had never met Zhanè chose to care.
Zhanè is safe. That is because of you.
With deepest gratitude,
Stuart Le Gros, on behalf of the O'Neill-Harvey family
